The thread

From finance to quantitative work

Finance exposed me to questions I wanted to understand more quantitatively, so I deliberately added statistics, programming and machine learning to an existing financial foundation.

Biochemistry developed evidence-based thinking and comfort with complex systems. EY and ICAS added accounting, controls, valuation and professional responsibility. The MSc added the tools to build and challenge quantitative models directly.

Career & study

Explore each stage. EY and ICAS formed the professional foundation, while the MSc, Fortis and Unisen now overlap as current and recent tracks.

Core interests

Three connected areas that shape the work and questions I pursue.

Markets & Quantitative Research

Testing strategies, forecasts and pricing systems with causal timing, stronger baselines and genuinely unseen data.

Private Markets & Credit

Connecting business performance to cash flow, capital structure, downside protection and investor returns.

Applied AI & Data

Building systems that reduce repetitive analytical work while keeping source evidence and professional judgement visible.
